THE JOURNEY AFTER SURVIVAL
There’s no better time to further address the taboo conversation surrounding sexual assault survivors of all backgrounds and identities. Reclaiming your well being and overall soundness of the world is up to you. We are all able to Talk, Heal, Thrive, and Survive.
Compartmentalizing healing and regrouping purpose on this Earth can be tough. From mental and sexual health to educating yourself as well as others, you are already equipped with every tool to come out of this stronger than ever before. THTS is here as a platform to assist, share, build community, and guide you to prevail.
Contrary to popular belief, survivors of sexual assault are not limited to cisgender women. Survivors can look like everyone.
You Are Not Alone.
Victory is already yours.
“Courage is the most important of all the virtues because without courage, you can't practice any other virtue consistently.”
Owning Trauma. Creating Triumph.
In September 2016, Jayce Baron was invited by Assemblyman Mike Gipson to speak at the State Capital alongside Gloria Allred to revoke the Statute of Limitation on rape charged in California. On September 28, 2016, Governor Jerry Brown signed SB813.
Later, Together For Girls recognized Jayce Baron for his efforts in his work with sexual assault awareness. Also recognized was Vice President Joe Bidon, Ashley Judd, and Chessy Prout.
Jayce Baron continues to be a voice for a community that rarely has the luxury to tell their stories.
"I first saw Jayce Baron speak at a community engagement event a couple of years ago in New York City. I was jaw-dropped at his radiant power and ability to hold positive energy in an often sensitive space. As he authentically shared his vulnerabilities, he exuded exceptional strength in order to help other's understanding and healing.
I knew immediately I had to work with him."
Dr. Joan Cook, Yale University
"When I think about Jayce, I think about a man who is very tenacious, who is relentless, and very focused. Jayce is centered and there is no ambiguity on who he is. He cares a great deal about people and about making a positive difference in the lives of the people he comes across. When I think of him, I think of someone who is been bruised but generates all of that pain into positive energy to ensure that no one else has to go through what he has gone through. I appreciate him and the brotherhood that we have. God has placed him in my life."
California State Assembly
"Jayce Baron has a natural ability to connect with people. Whether one of many in an auditorium or one-on-one, you genuinely feel like you are getting a personal breath of fresh enlightenment with every engagement.
From working with brilliant youth to adults in the trenches of trauma, Jayce intuitively helps people to connect the dots for a healthier outlook on life."
